Several Orange County coaches, administrators going into CIF-SS Hall of Fame

Several coaches involved in Orange County high school athletics will be inducted into the CIF Southern Section Hall of Fame or received CIF-SS Distinguished Service honors.

Going into the CIF-SS Hall of Fame are Mark Calentino, former wrestling coach at San Clemente; Alan Clinton, former athletic director and wrestling coach at El Modena and Servite; Fred DiPalma, football coach at Katella, Santiago and Savanna; and Myron Miller, football coach at Costa Mesa and Tustin.

Distinguished Service honorees are Jon Hamro, athletic director and coach at San Clemente; and Bob Walton, tennis coach at Laguna Beach and longtime member of the CIF-SS tennis advisory committee.

They will be honored at a luncheon at The Grand Conference Center in Long Beach on Oct. 21 at 11:30 a.m.
