Moxie’s story: She came into a shelter unexpectedly pregnant and surprised everyone by giving birth to a single puppy. She needed immediate rescue, and thanks to a wonderful foster, mom and baby received the care they needed. Now that Moxie has finished her mama duties, she’s ready to find a loving home of her own. She is affectionate and people-loving. She’ll offer her paw for pets and give plenty of kisses in return. She’s a total showstopper with her striking coat and warm, soulful eyes, paired with a personality just as stunning. She’s well-mannered and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’d also do well with a family that’s home a bit more often, as she thrives on companionship. She loves walks and is friendly with dogs her size, though she can get a little excited on leash when passing smaller pups. Because of her size and strength, Moxie would benefit from an adopter with large-breed experience, who can continue helping her with basic training. She’s microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for parasites and fleas.
