A man opened fire inside a Bank of America branch in Anaheim on Tuesday morning, Sept. 2, but no one was injured, authorities said.
The shooting occurred around 10:45 a.m. inside the bank on the 300 block of South Harbor Boulevard, directly across the street from the Anaheim Police Department, Sgt. Matt Sutter said.
The man fired several rounds inside the branch, prompting dozens of officers to rush across the street, Sutter said. Police arrested the suspect without incident and recovered a gun at the scene.
“We just heard somebody shooting at the back. And then the manager told us to run,” Patel told OC Hawk, a freelance news service that often works with the Southern California News Group. She was inside the bank with her grandparents at the time of the shooting.
