Here is a look at the top Orange County girls tennis teams to watch this season:

O.C. teams to watch
(Records through Sept.11)
1. Corona del Mar (6-0): The Sea Kings look like Orange County’s best team, and a major CIF-SS title contender. Their lineup includes senior Emilie Lew, senior twins Polina and Sasha Briggs, sophomore Julia Cross and two strong freshmen. Corona del Mar has already defeated reigning state champion Palos Verdes 12-6.
2. JSerra (9-2): The Lions showed their depth Thursday with an 11-7 win against Aliso Niguel and sophomore Camille Allegre, one of the best players in the county. JSerra is led by senior Scarlett Vukich and freshman Madison Mann.
3. Santa Margarita (10-2): Coach Eric Michaut believes the Eagles aren’t as deep as last season when they reached the Open Division semifinals but the squad has posted some strong early-season victories.
4. Portola (6-2): Twins Kylie and Kenzie Nguyen aren’t playing for the Bulldogs but the squad features senior captain Leanna Roman and some young talent.
5. Woodbridge (5-1): The Warriors remain a top Pacific Coast League team with the return of senior Lisa Polkanova.
6. Fountain Valley (6-0): The Barons are off to a fast start after reaching the CIF-SS Open Division last season.
