In time for Ducks hockey home games, two new parking garages serving the Honda Center near the 57 freeway have completed construction and are open to the public.
The multi-level garages are the first completed components of OCVibe — a $4 billion, 100-acre development around the Anaheim arena led by the Samueli family, owners of the Ducks.
The two garages bring 4,500 new parking spaces. General parking is included with purchased event tickets, with alternate pricing for preferred parking.
“There’s no scanning at a toll booth or anything like that. It’s basically open,” Anaheim City spokesperson Mike Lyster said. “You will just drive in, and your ticket includes the cost of general parking, which would also allow you to park in several other general parking lots.”
The interconnected parking structures — the northernmost “Cerritos Garage C” off Douglass Road and the southern “Katella Garage K” off Katella Avenue — will serve Ducks hockey games, concerts at the Honda Center as well as new development to come on the west side.
Starting in 2026, the area west of the Honda Center will see additional openings of restaurants, a 5,700-capacity concert theater, public spaces for community events and OCVibe’s new Market Hall, which will offer international cuisines from more than two dozen food stalls and bars.
Roadwork and utilities needed for future phases of the OCVibe project are also underway. The 100-acre development is also expecting 2,000 new apartments to be constructed, parks, smaller performance venues and two hotels. A third parking structure is also planned.
Notably, pending ongoing construction, South Douglass Road will no longer run past Katella Avenue and to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. Instead, a new pedestrian bridge over Katella Avenue will connect the train station to the Honda Center.
But East Cerritos Avenue, frequently used to get to the Honda Center, is open and turns into South Douglass Road to lead drivers into the Cerritos Garage.
Stanley Cup Way and River Road are also now open.
