Everyone has their go-to Easter treat—be it chocolate eggs, jellybeans, or gummies—but a new Google Trends study shows which sweet was the favorite in each state.
Peeps were found to be Californians’ top Easter candy choice. The candy was also the top choice for 35 other states, including Texas, Nevada and Florida.

Other states choose M&M’s, peanut butter eggs and gummies as their top choice.
Researchers determined the top Easter candy for each state based on Google search results.
According to the National Retail Federation, Americans are expected to spend about $23.6 billion on Easter this year.
The amount is above last year’s $22.4 billion, and approaching the record $24 billion spent in 2023.
