Flames churning through brush up hillsides were threatening homes near the interchange of highways 91 and 71 on Friday afternoon, July 25.
The Green fire prompted an evacuation order for the area south of Highway 91, east of Fresno Road, north of Green River Road and west of Bayberry Drive.
Firefighters on the ground and in the air were trying to extinguish the Green fire. Flames had burned about 75 acres as of 6:30 p.m., but there were no reports of homes on fire.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. near Green River Road and Palisades Drive.
