Amalia Holguin passed to Eve Fowler for the game-winning shot in the final minute for Sage Hill in a 59-58 win over Oak Park in the CIF-SS Open Division quarterfinals Saturday at Sage Hill High.
Sage Hill (27-4) will play Ontario Christian on the road Tuesday in the semifinals. Ontario Christian won the Open Division championship last season.
The Lightning led 35-24 at halftime due to a 19-2 run where Holguin scored 14 points. Sage Hill fell to Oak Park 59-56 earlier this season.
Holguin, a University of Texas signee, led Sage Hill with 31 points and Addison Uphoff added 14.
Sage Hill most recently won a CIF championship in 2021 but won a CIF State championship in 2022.

In the Open Division:
Sierra Canyon 79, Mater Dei 38: Mater Dei suffered a blowout loss to Sierra Canyon on the road in an Open Division quarterfinal game.
There was a running clock in the fourth quarter and Mater Dei coach Jody Wynn was ejected due to receiving two technical fouls.
Stella Hoss led Mater Dei (24-7) with 17 points.
JSerra 50, Redondo Union 43: JSerra qualified for the CIF State playoffs with a home win over Redondo Union in a qualifying game.
Vivian Grenald led JSerra (20-8) with 15 points and nine rebounds. Shae Talleur added 14 points and Kayla Rice had 10.
In Division 2:
Crescenta Valley 45, Rosary 44: Rosary led entering the fourth quarter, but fell to Crescenta Valley at home in the Division 2 semifinals.
Emalynn Vong led Rosary (22-10) with 18 points and Riyanna Meaders added eight. Maddison White led the Royals with 12 rebounds. Rosary qualified for the state playoffs.
In Division 3:
St. Margaret’s 54, Leuzinger 50: St. Margaret’s beat Leuzinger on the road to reach its third CIF-SS championship game in four seasons.
Jayden Witten led St. Margaret’s (25-7) with 19 points and Taylor Francois added 13.
St. Margaret’s will play Murrieta Valley for the Division 3 championship next week. The Tartans won a CIF championship in 2023 and reached the championship game in 2024.
In Division 5:
Bishop Diego 48, Godinez 42: Godinez had its section championship hopes come to an end with a loss to Bishop Diego at home.
Valeria Esteban led Godinez with 11 points. Crystal Cruz and Valerie Arcos added eight points each. Godinez qualified for the state playoffs and beat Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, Heritage Christian and Torrance in the playoffs.
In Division 6:
Savanna 52, San Jacinto 43: Dyanna Cruz had 23 points for Savanna in a win over San Jacinto to reach its first CIF championship game in school-history.
Jazara Madrid had 13 points for the Rebels and Camaila Carigma added 11.
Savanna (17-13) will play Warren in the championship game next week. The Rebels have won 11 of their last 12 games.
In Division 7:
Laguna Hills 53, Patriot 50: Laguna Hills beat Patriot on the road to earn its sixth trip to a CIF championship game.
Cameron McDermott led Laguna Hills with 20 points and nine steals. Keira McDermott had 14 points and Marisol Bahena Torres added 11.
Laguna Hills (17-10) is 5-0 in CIF-SS championship games with its most recent win coming in 2012. The Hawks will play Kennedy for the championship next week.
Laguna Hills and Kennedy played each other twice in Golden West League play this season with Kennedy winning both games by an average of 23 points.
Kennedy 49, Burroughs/Ridgecrest 32: Kennedy routed Burroughs of Ridgecrest at home to reach its first CIF championship game in school-history.
Ta’Niya Paul had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds for Kennedy (19-12). Liz Tirona had 11 points and Jessie Collins had seven rebounds with four steals.
In Division 8:
Orange 49, University Prep 36: Orange advanced to its first CIF championship game in school-history by beating University Prep at home in the Division 8 semifinals.
Aubrey Macedo led Orange with 19 points. Alina Homez scored 16 points and Anessa Salinas added nine.
Orange (15-11) will play Schurr for the championship next week.
