In opening statements, federal prosecutors accuse Jonathan Rinderknecht of starting fire that re-ignited as the Palisades Fire to get “revenge” against society. His attorneys say he came upon the fire that was started by New Year’s Eve fireworks, called 911 and tried to help firefighters.
